Understanding and fostering the growth of the World Wide Web, both in engineering and societal terms, will require the development of a new interdisciplinary field.

Our aim is to beable to design“policy aware systems that provide reasoning over these policies, enable agents to act on a user's behalf, make compliance easier, and provide accountability where rules are broken.
